About Me
Hard Days
My name is Jennifer Oliver, and I am a mother who has walked this heartbreaking road. I experienced a late pregnancy loss and watched my older children—especially my then-six-year-old son—struggle to understand what it meant to lose a sibling they never got to hold. I wrote this book because I needed something gentle, honest, and comforting to help my children make sense of their emotions while keeping our baby’s memory present in our home. My Brother Was Born Sleeping is told through the eyes of a child learning to navigate grief, confusion, love, and healing. Through the narrator’s journey, this story offers families a compassionate way to talk about loss, remember their baby, and find hope together
